Walking with Purpose: MPBP Supports Breast Cancer Awareness in Charlotte, NC
Representing Mothers of Professional Basketball Players, Inc. (MPBP).
As Vice President of Mothers of Professional Basketball Players, Inc. (MPBP), I was honored to participate in the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk in Charlotte, North Carolina, alongside Yolanda Miller of the Team Miller Foundation. I was especially pleased to share this meaningful experience with Yolanda, who is a valued member of MPBP. Coming together for such an important cause allowed us to represent our organization while supporting breast cancer awareness and standing with survivors, families, and everyone whose life has been touched by this disease.
Walking for this cause was a powerful reminder that service extends beyond our organization and into the communities we serve. Every step represented hope, strength, resilience, and the importance of raising awareness, encouraging early detection, and supporting continued breast cancer research.
At MPBP, we believe in the power of sisterhood, service, and making a positive impact beyond the basketball community. Our participation in this event reflected our commitment to supporting causes that affect families everywhere. Walking alongside Yolanda and the Team Miller Foundation also highlighted the value of collaboration and the difference we can make when we unite around a shared purpose.
As Vice President, I am proud to help advance MPBP’s commitment to community engagement, service, and meaningful connections. Experiences like this remind us that leadership is not only about what we do within our organization, but also about how we show up for others and support causes that make a difference in people's lives.
I am grateful for the opportunity to participate in this inspiring event with Yolanda Miller and the Team Miller Foundation. Together, we walked with purpose, united by compassion and the hope of a future where breast cancer no longer takes the lives of those we love.
One step, one voice, and one community at a time, we can make a difference!
