Walking with Purpose: MPBP Supports
Breast Cancer Awareness in Charlotte, NC

Representing Mothers of Professional Basketball Players, Inc. (MPBP).

As Vice President of Mothers of Professional Basketball Players, Inc. (MPBP), I was honored to participate in the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk in Charlotte, North Carolina, alongside Yolanda Miller of the Team Miller Foundation. I was especially pleased to share this meaningful experience with Y olanda, who is a valued member of MPBP. Coming together for such an important cause allowed us to represent our organization while supporting breast cancer awareness and standing with survivors, families, and everyone whose life has been touched by this disease.

Walking for this cause was a powerful reminder that service extends beyond our organization and into the communities we serve. Every step represented hope, strength, resilience, and the importance of raising awareness, encouraging early detection, and supporting continued breast cancer research.

At MPBP, we believe in the power of sisterhood, service, and making a positive impact beyond the basketball community. Our participation in this event reflected our commitment to supporting causes that affect families everywhere. Walking alongside Yolanda and the Team Miller Foundation also highlighted the value of collaboration and the difference we can make when we unite around a shared purpose.

As Vice President, I am proud to help advance MPBP’s commitment to community engagement, service, and meaningful connections. Experiences like this remind us that leadership is not only about what we do within our organization, but also about how we show up for others and support causes that make a difference in people's lives.

I am grateful for the opportunity to participate in this inspiring event with Yolanda Miller and the Team Miller Foundation. Together, we walked with purpose, united by compassion and the hope of a future where breast cancer no longer takes the lives of those we love.

One step, one voice, and one community at a time, we can make a difference!

More Than a Donation: MPBP Atlantic Region Serves at Our House in Atlanta

MPBP Atlantic Region's Day of Service in Atlanta

Members of the Mothers of Professional Basketball Players (MPBP) Atlantic Region recently traveled to Atlanta for a day of service at Our House, a shelter serving families experiencing homelessness throughout the metro Atlanta area.

About Our House

Our House provides a safe, clean and caring home for up to 18 families for as long as six months, helping them work toward stability and independence. Its services are designed to support the whole family, including early childhood education, housing, family services and case management, and health care.

Giving What Was Needed

As part of our commitment to supporting families and strengthening communities, the MPBP Atlantic Region donated essential supplies that Our House identified as its most pressing needs.

Rolling Up Our Sleeves

Our members didn't stop at the donation. We spent the day volunteering throughout the facility, with one of our main projects being a top-to-bottom cleaning of every daycare room. By preparing these spaces, we helped create a welcoming, healthy and comfortable environment for the children who receive early education and care at Our House.

Why It Matters

This day was a meaningful reminder that giving back is about more than writing a check. It's about showing up, lending a hand and investing time in the lives of others.

We are honored to support the work Our House does every day to help families build a stronger future, and grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside such a dedicated team.

The MPBP Atlantic Region is proud to give, serve and make a difference, one family and one community at a time.

25 Years Later: The MPBP Moms Who Answered the Call on 9/11

Fri, 11 Sep 2026 13:41:26 GMT

Twenty-five years ago, on September 11, 2001, a group of MPBP mothers and friends didn't wait to be asked. They saw a need and sprang into action — boarding a bus through the dust-filled streets of Ground Zero, heading to a restaurant to prepare meals by hand, and delivering them straight to the Command Center for the emergency workers on the front lines.

Today, we remember and honor the women who showed up:

Stephanie Mondesire, Joan Anderson, Marie Jackson, Flo Allen, Pat Croshere, Anne Sealy, Marion Snipes, Rebecca Gatling, Helen Mashburn, Mary Mason, and Janice Camby.

Twenty-five years later, their courage and quiet service still define who we are at MPBP.

2026 NATIONAL CONFERENCE

This August, MPBP, Inc. brought members from across the country together in Sugar Land, Texas, for our 2026 National Conference — Passing the Torch: A Legacy of Leaders. Over four unforgettable days, our sisterhood celebrated 30 years of community, mentorship, and legacy with an opening night fashion show honoring the confidence and style of mothers across generations, a "Denim & Bling" comedy night complete with line dancing lessons, and a Black-Tie Gala recognizing individuals with Southwest roots from the NBA, WNBA, G-League, and international sports. Keynote speaker Dr. Mia K. Wright inspired attendees with a message of transformation and purpose, and the weekend closed with a Sunday Service centered on reflection and gratitude. From the laughter to the tears to the standing ovations, this conference was a true celebration of where MPBP has been — and where we're headed next. Take a look through the gallery and relive the moments with us.

All-Star Mothers & Mother Figures Brunch

During the 2026 NBA All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles, MPBP members gathered at the LA Clippers' All-Star Mothers and Mother Figures Brunch — a special celebration honoring the women behind the players. Hosted by the LA Clippers organization at the iconic Intuit Dome, the morning brought together mothers and caregivers for a time of connection, fellowship, and reflection rooted in faith and purpose. The event was made even more memorable by the presence of special guests Mrs. Michelle Obama and Serena Williams, both of whom spoke to the power and sacrifice of the NBA mom community. It was a beautiful reminder of the role these incredible women play in shaping the lives and careers of professional athletes.

✨SISTERHOOD IN ACTION ✨ & Basketball Skills Camp Recap – Las Vegas!

From pampering at Macy’s to empowering young athletes at our FREE Basketball Skills Camp , this summer has been all about impact, outreach, and recruiting powerful moms into our movement!

On Monday, July 14th, our MPBP, Inc. moms showed up strong in Las Vegas:

We partnered with Courtside Moms Media and Vegas for Athletes to host a free youth basketball clinic and heart screenings at Whitney Rec Center — creating a safe, educational, and fun space for kids ages 6–14.

We also invited local moms to our Drafted & Determined Meet & Greet at Lexie’s Bistro — building bonds, sharing stories, and welcoming new members into our growing sisterhood.

And that’s not all—our moms made time to support one another with a pampering day at Macy’s and recruiting efforts throughout Summer League to bring more amazing mothers into the fold.

We’re not just raising athletes—we’re raising leaders, building community, and standing together in purpose.
